This Week at Mark Twain 3/20-3/25
We are excited to announce, Mrs. Tricia Moore as our 2023-2024 Ralls County Elementary Intermediate Principal! She was selected as a finalist through a faculty committee interview. She was next selected for the position by the Ralls County Board of Education after a formal presentation and interview last Monday evening. She has officially signed the employment contract. Welcome Mrs. Moore!

This evening Board President, Ron Evans, was honored for his 30 years of service to the Ralls County R-II School District as a board member. This was his final regular meeting of his 10th and final term. His family attended the ceremony. He was thanked by fellow board members, employees, parents and students. Thank you, Mr Evans!
Our March Board of Education meeting opened with Board recognition of students and retiring Board Member, Mr. Ron Evans. Thank you for the parents and family members that joined us to honor these special friends and moments!
Caution: Progress Ahead with Temporary Inconvenience
You may have noticed a few marker flags and stakes located on our campus. MoDOT will soon be resurfacing Hwy 19, included in the project is the addition of a turn lane to improve safety and the traffic flow for our campus.
Beginning March 20th, our main entrance and exit will be closed. Ralls County R-II campus will be left with the entrance/exit at the east end of our campus off of Mark Twain Road (gravel road).
Safety will be our number one priority. We will have additional people posted on campus to assist with traffic. The inconvenience will be temporary and the end result will be safer for all vehicles. Thank you for your patience as this next project is accomplished.
A match grant was originally written by Ralls County R-II and approved by MoDOT to add the turn lane. MoDOT is now fully funding the project, no school district funds will be used. ESS has been awarded the project through MoDOT’s bidding process.

Get registered for summer school! Summer School is Tue-Fri May 30-June 23 8a.m.-3:30p.m. Forms can be picked up, or dropped off, at RCE or MT school offices. Transportation is available with residential drop off and pick up.
