Severe Weather Preparedness- Be Ready!
Our school participated in the StateWide Tornado Drill this morning. Ralls County R-II is very fortunate to have a shelter on campus to safely gather all of our 900+ students and employees in the event of severe weather. Our multipurpose building was constructed in 2011 with grant funds and matching district funds. The building is rated to withstand winds up to 250 miles per hour. The multipurpose building is also our Junior High gymnasium.
Select community members have a key to unlock the building in the event of a Tornado Warning. This offers a safe location for community members to shelter in the event of an emergency.
