This morning, our district was briefly placed in lockdown after a panic button was accidentally activated by a staff member. We quickly identified the cause and confirmed that there was no threat to our students or staff. An announcement was then made throughout the district that the lockdown was a false alarm and normal operations resumed.
While the lockdown was unintended, I was very pleased with the response I witnessed firsthand. I was in the hallway when the alert was activated, and our students and staff immediately treated the situation seriously and followed our safety procedures. Their quick and appropriate response was exactly what we would expect during an actual emergency.
We wanted to communicate with our families so you were aware of what occurred and, most importantly, to reassure you that everyone is safe and there was no threat to the district.

If your child qualifies for one of these rewards at the end of the program, the Gift Card will be emailed to the email address you provide. It is imperative that we have your correct email address in our data base.

This is a reminder that we will be in regular session Monday, March 30 through Thursday, April 2. District offices will be closed Friday, April 3 through Monday, April 6 for Easter. Students will return on Tuesday, April 7.
