Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) program

BYOT is a program that allows staff, Junior and Senior High students to bring personal devices to school and connect to the district wireless network for educational purposes using their rallsr2.k12.mo.us credentials.

To following is required for a student to be eligible:
  • A signed BYOT form needs to be on file.
  • The student must be in good standing.
  • Needs to posses a compatible device.

BYOT access is a privilege that can be revoked in case of abuse or misuse. The wireless network is provided as-is without warranty. The same limitations and expectations are in place on BYOT devices and usage as district owned. Web-filtering and monitoring techniques are in use. Students and staff are responsible for their devices and no district technical support will be provided (aside from alleviating network connection issues with the BYOT network).

Connecting to the BYOT network

  1. Open the device wifi settings.
  2. Select the 'RC2 BYOT' wireless network.
  3. You will be prompted for your credentials.
  4. You may be asked to trust a certificate.
  5. You are connected.
